Auto follow accounts by keyword on Twitter

Mass follow on Twitter usually means following whoever happens to be in front of you. This does the opposite. Give it a keyword and it follows the accounts whose name, handle or bio contain it, so the people you pick up already care about your subject.

The account must contain every word you enter.

What the filter reads

Each filter checks three fields on every account it considers: the display name, the handle, and the bio. Separate your words with commas, and capitals are ignored, so Designer and designer behave identically.

Verification filter

Stack a verification filter on top of your keywords

"Only For" filter narrows a run to accounts showing X’s verified checkmark, to accounts without one, or leaves it open to both. It applies before the keyword filters, and the two combine, so a single run can be aimed at unverified accounts whose bio mentions a keyword you choose.

The run

You watch it work, and you can stop it

Start a run and a new tab opens on X. The extension works through the matching accounts one at a time, spacing the follows out rather than firing them all at once.

The ceiling and the pacing are deliberate: keeping any single run small and slow is how the tool is built to protect the account it runs on.

Following runs inside your own browser, so the extension does the work and your TweetStorm account only meters it. Setup takes a couple of minutes and you do it once.

Install the extension

Add it from the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. The Chrome build also covers Edge, Brave and Opera.

Create your TweetStorm account

Sign up free or log in if you already have an account.

Copy your extension key

Open Profile, scroll to Extension API Key, and copy it.

Connect the extension

Paste the key into the extension and save, then enter your X handle when it asks.

Open Mass Follow

Sign in to X, open the extension, and pick Mass Follow from the list of actions. The filters appear with it.
