Keyword filters

Mass unfollow by keyword, not one account at a time

X gives you one unfollow button per account and no way to sort your Following page. This unfollow tool reads each account's name, handle and bio, and mass unfollows only the accounts matching words you choose.

    Unfollows only accounts whose name, handle or bio contains every word you enter. Enter crypto, nft, marketing and an account needs all three.

  • Includes any keyword

    Unfollows accounts matching at least one word. Enter fitness, gaming, ai and any single match is enough.

  • Exact phrase

    Unfollows only accounts carrying a phrase as written. Enter content marketer, marketing content and an account needs one of those phrases word for word.

Separate words with commas. Matching ignores capitals, so Crypto and crypto behave identically.

Verification filter

Stack a verification filter on top of your keywords

The "Only For" filter looks at the verification checkmark next to each account and narrows the run to verified accounts, unverified accounts, or all accounts. Blue, gold and grey badges all count as verified.

Filters combine, they do not compete

“Only For” applies first, then your keywords, then your maximum. All three narrow the same run together, so a single pass can be as specific as you want it.

The run

You watch it work, and you can stop it

Starting a run opens your Following page in a new tab and works down it, unfollowing the accounts that match. Nothing is queued on our side and nothing happens to your account that you cannot see.

    The run happens on x.com/your-handle/following, in the browser you are already signed into.

    A live counter shows how many accounts it has unfollowed against the maximum you set.

    You keep the tab open

    The run lives in its own tab. Switch to another tab and it pauses where it stopped, then picks up when you come back. Close the tab and the run ends.

    One button ends the run immediately. Accounts already unfollowed stay unfollowed; nothing else is touched.

There is no per-run ceiling on unfollows. Set the maximum where you want it, or tick Unfollow all and let it clear the list.

No. Unfollowing and removing a follower are two different things: unfollowing stops their posts appearing in your timeline, while removing a follower stops them seeing yours. The extension handles unfollowing. On X itself, the closest thing to removing a follower is blocking the account and then unblocking it, which X treats as a way to force a follower off your list.

X restricts automated engagement under its automation rules and its authenticity policy, and no tool can promise you zero risk. What you control is the size of a run and when it ends: you set the maximum, the extension works through accounts one at a time rather than firing them all at once, and you can stop it whenever you want. Closing the tab ends the run. Accounts already unfollowed stay unfollowed, and nothing is left half-finished. Switching to another tab only pauses it, and it picks up when you come back. To carry on after closing, start a new run and set your filters for what is left.
